NEW PRAYER CARD: Last year HOK’s prayer card for St. Stiv (Stiv Bators) found its devotees all over the world. Now HOK will bring out a prayer card for St. Alan (Alan Vega) on occasion of the tenth anniversary of his death in 2016. The release will be on July 16th in Berlin.

TAV FALCO: June 19/20/21th HOK will attend the film festival at Cineteca Madrid which will bring together a selection of key titles from the radical cinema of recent decades. Highpoint in this festival will be the screening of a retrospective of the films of TAV FALCO. Former HOK exhibiting artist TAV FALCO is a key figure from the Memphis underground scene, who combines film, photographs, music, and performance. The program focuses on his most recent work, The Urania Trilogy.
BEATDOM: Beatdom is an annual literary journal dedicated to the work of the Beat Generation. Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Allen Ginsberg’s day of birth, the June 2026 issue of Beatdom is The Allen Ginsberg Centennial Special. With 400 pages, it is more like an anthology than a typical literary journal, mixing essays and art, interviews and poetry, memoir and archival documents.
Two familiar faces with HOK, René van der Voort (who sadly only recently passed away) and Mr. Pelham contributed to this issue with a two-part essay on Ginsberg’s fling with punk rock, concentrating on his poem Punkrock Your My Big Crybaby, dedicated to Richard Hell.
